Close protection keeps a named person safe at home, at work and on the move. Mission Support provides close protection officers (CPOs), advance work and protective drivers for executives, families and high-net-worth principals, in the Netherlands and abroad. Every engagement starts with a written threat assessment. Vetted officers, available 24/7.
We plan protection around your life, not around our rota. It starts with a quiet conversation about your routine, your travel, your home and your family. From that we build a plan that fits how you live and work, with as little disruption as possible.
Our close protection officers are vetted and have operational experience. Security drivers are trained in defensive and evasive driving and know how to behave around a board or a family. For residences we look at the building itself, access control, monitoring and the household routines that keep it secure.
For travel and higher-risk movements we add crisis and incident standby and travel risk management. If something goes wrong in transit, there is already a plan and a named person responsible for handling it.

What is executive protection?
Executive protection, also called close protection or EP, means keeping a named person safe in daily life, while travelling and at events. It has little to do with the film version of a bodyguard. Most of the work is planning, information and risk management. Physical intervention is the last resort.
A close protection officer (CPO) works either in a team or alone, fitted into the principal's day. The job is to make a threat less likely and, if it does happen, to have the principal already out of reach. That takes advance visits to venues, contact with local services, route planning and constant attention to what is going on around them.
Close protection in the Netherlands and elsewhere is subject to strict licensing rules. Mission Support's close protection officers are vetted to a level that suits high-net-worth and diplomatic principals.
When do you need a close protection officer?
Clients usually come to us for one of four reasons. There is a concrete threat, such as a message, information from a reliable source or an earlier incident. Their public profile has grown through media coverage, a contested decision or activist attention. They are travelling somewhere with a history of kidnapping, active conflict or weak local policing. Or they are going through a difficult period: a dispute, a court case, a dismissal or a restructuring.
Not every situation needs a full team. A threat assessment, done before anything is deployed, shows whether you need one CPO, a driver and officer together, a review of your home security, or a team working in shifts. Too much protection costs money and draws attention. Too little is dangerous. The assessment settles which is which.
We also carry out threat assessments as a separate service. You are under no obligation to go further. The point is to give you an honest view of the actual risk, not to sell you a team.
How Mission Support designs executive protection
Our executive protection services start with a profile of the principal and a threat matrix. We map the daily routine, how often and where they travel, the family's exposure, the digital footprint and any known or likely hostile interest. From that we set the team size, shift pattern, vehicles and measures at home, using the smallest footprint that still does the job.
The footprint matters. Heavy, visible protection tells people there is someone worth targeting. We prefer officers who blend in: a suit at the board meeting, casual clothes at the weekend, with the ability to act held in reserve.
We work 24/7. Every shift handover is written down. Incidents go to a senior controller rather than resting with the officer on the ground. You receive a monthly summary and can reach operational leadership directly at any time.
Close protection across the Netherlands — cities we operate in
Amsterdam. The Zuidas and the wider metropolitan area are where most executive protection in the Netherlands takes place. Visiting board members, fund managers, technology investors and wealthy private clients come for corporate events and sensitive meetings. They need protection that keeps pace with the city without getting in the way. We deploy vetted close protection officers in Amsterdam, around congresses at the RAI, for arrivals at Schiphol and at private residences across the region.
The Hague. Embassies, international courts and government bodies make The Hague a different place to work. Embassy staff, foreign dignitaries visiting Dutch counterparts, principals attending ICC hearings or NATO-related meetings, and executives in sensitive negotiations all need protection that respects diplomatic protocol. Our officers know how diplomatic security works in the Netherlands and coordinate with the DBB of the National Police where that applies.
Rotterdam. The port economy brings its own needs: visiting executives, commodity traders closing large deals, and principals with interests in port logistics or heavy industry. We provide close protection officers and security drivers in Rotterdam, Dordrecht and the Rijnmond area, including protective driving to and from the port and discreet cover for important meetings on the Kop van Zuid.
Eindhoven and Brainport. Executives and R&D directors in the ASML supply chain and on the High Tech Campus run a higher personal risk because of industrial espionage and corporate intelligence gathering. We provide close protection for Brainport principals, security for their international travel and home security assessments across North Brabant.
